I never want families or kids to feel like photos are horrible. I don’t like super posed photos sitting down with people smiling at the camera. I like to capture some of those more “formal” photos, but I want to embrace the family as they are. Evan is all boy and all he wanted to do was play with his Toy Story toys and wagon. By all means! We’ll work around that! I want it to be fun for everyone! So if that means asking questions about woody and buz, then I will… If that means tickle fights and piggy back rides, then go ahead!

I absolutely ADORE clients that are super excited about their session with me. Kristen was so excited and didn’t care what I wanted to bring or do and was asking ideas on outfits.. seriously a dream for photogs. Yes, we all look on Pinterest and see dreamy photos of other people, but I love the clients that want to be THEM and not someone else. We all have the same goal- pretty photos with pretty people and pretty things.

We met out at the Porter land in Mint Hill to capture some great photos of Kristen, Matthew, and Evan. I photographed Evan’s newborn photos 4 years ago and boy do things change! He’s older and I’m a way better photographer lol… feel free to check out his beginning and my beginning too haha.

I was nervous about these pictures. I really thought that Evan's entourage was going to take over this photo session. Brittany assured me it was going to be okay that she will work with it. The pictures that were captured are a true example of where we are in this faze of our life. She couldn't have said it better in the blog. As sappy as it is I can't stop getting teary eyed over these. If anyone wants to know Evan… This is him. In his own little world with his "friends". They all have to stay together, one can't go without the other. I can't stop saying thank you! Brittany isn't just talented with the camera, she is very talented with keeping up with a crazy 4 year old boy. I just can go on and on about this girl 🙂 oh!!! Her girls will give you baby girl fever! Cutest little voices!!
