The DIY:

I found wooden crates at Michaels and on the same aisle, next to the dowel rods, there were these 2 flat pieces of wood perfect for the stand’s posts. I took Maclaren out of the stroller and loaded it up with this wood, a chalkboard sign, and Krylon spray paint. I love that I can repaint and redecorate depending on the shoot/ time of year. Summer is perfect for Strawberry lemonade so that’s what we decided to design first.

I grabbed a hammer and some nails and hammered away- trying not to split the wood. I am by no means a wood worker and the unevenness gives it some character. I spray painted it (after the nails, to hide them). Then I dug up a ribbon/lace banner I made for a shoot a while back, the bouquet of billy balls I still had from my sister’s wedding circa 2011, and I made a new strand of pompoms in the yarn I already had. Super simple!

When you book your session, feel free to request it! I’d love to use it as much as possible- redoing it for all sorts of shoots!
